Crossraguel Abbey

Crossraguel Abbey is one of the best preserved, most varied and most interesting of the many abbey ruins that are dotted across Scotland. It can be found just to the south of the A77, about two miles south west of Maybole. As you drive away from Maybole, keep a lookout on your left for the remains of Baltersan Castle, which comes into view just before you see Crossraguel Abbey itself, also on the left. The car park is at the east end of the site, close to the entrance and the custodian’s office. see
